Infrastructure
Our website is hosted on dedicated servers by STRATO AG (Berlin). We manage the server ourselves; STRATO provides the technical hardware and network but has no access to your personal data. A data processing agreement (AVV) is in place.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use Cookies and HTML5 Storage to improve your experience. Transient Cookies (Session-IDs) are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent Cookies are stored for a specific duration to remember your login or preferences.
3. Community Features (EasySocial & EasyBlog)
When you register or comment, we process your username, email, and IP address. This is necessary to prevent the publication of illegal content and to defend against liability claims (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Gamification System
We process activity data (posts, badges, levels) to provide our community features. This data is essential for the functionality of our platform and is stored as long as your account remains active.
Special Note (Art. 9 GDPR)
As BetweenHim focuses on Gay AI Cinema, your profile information might indirectly indicate your sexual orientation. By providing this information, you give us your explicit consent to process this sensitive data within the community framework.
4. External Services & Media
Newsletter (AcyMailing)
We use a Double-Opt-In process. We track open rates and click behavior (Web-Beacons) to improve our content. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.
YouTube & Social Media
Videos are embedded in "Enhanced Privacy Mode". Social plugins (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter) use a two-click solution: no data is sent unless you actively click the button.
Canva & Freepik
We use Canva for graphics and Freepik for media. When you visit pages with these assets, your IP might be transmitted to their servers for technical rendering.
5. Security & Backups
To protect our site, we use Cloudflare. For data integrity, encrypted backups are stored on Google Drive and Amazon S3 (Frankfurt). Data may be processed in the US under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
